Vodafone UK deploys mobile-vending machine | The Register

Vodafone is deploying a mobile vending machine for the benefit of the phone-hungry public of Manchester.

As The Register says, I remember reading about this a few months ago.

  • Voda also do power vending machines. TBH I've only ever seen this one at the HQ, but I reckon they're an excellent idea.

  • There's one in the Voda store I just walked past on my way to lunch. Actually, within 100 yards all of the operators have stores and I have to say the Voda one does stand out as the smartest looking with the most interesting things - recharging station and 'can I help you' computer paticularly...

    It's true though - every half-decent domain name in existence has a squatter on it, so I had to go through a painful purchase process. Would you believe the chap who owned jam.in (for ben.jam.in) wanted €15,000! Crazy.
