Sisters Katie, 15, and Hannah Farrelly, 16, have started "text like a teen" night classes at Hutt Valley High School, which have proved a hit with those unfamiliar with smiley faces and abbreviated slang.
The first one-day course, run last month, cost $6 and attracted 48 students from their 30s to 80s.
