Faking your way into the o2 wireless festival VIP tent

Link: Could someone do me a favour… - Sheffield Forum.
I just came across this post on the Sheffield discussion forums relating to the o2 wireless festival and their special offer of VIP access for o2 customers.

I was wondering if somebody could do me a big favour. I’m off to the wireless festival gigs from tommorow (down south) and you can get into the vip ‘blue room’ area if your an 02 phone user and text a number (which I’m not) I was wondering if any of you could text the number for me, and then forward me the barcode you get back (you have to text twice according to the advert just heard on xfm) (not sure if it’d work, but its worth a go). It only costs whatever your standard text rate is (2p, 3p?), and I’d be mucho gratefull if anybody can spend just a minute or two to give a top dude like me a hand.

I wonder if it’s possible? I reckon the barcode they send you won’t be transferrable!

The technology’s come a long way from sending consumers a text message with a special code — which they could then send to every one of their friends.
