I was having a chat with Paul at NTS just now by email — turns out he’s sensibly sat working away in his local pub on GPRS.  Smart man!

I asked him if he had any news going on and he had this to say:

We have been doing some testing about how many messages an hour can be sent via Landline SMS. With the BT service in the UK you can send around a thousand an hour with a single Landline SMS modem.

Picture_9_6That’s sehr nifty!  It’s one of these things you need (left) an SMS modem.

They’ve also got an SDK for developers wishing to integrate with their own applications — more info here, plus they’ve got drivers for MAC OSX & Linux 2.4 & 2.6.

If you’ve got an application that needs SMS via Landline modem, talk to Paul.
