A post from Typepad Mobile

Well I have had the Typepad application on the phone for a few days but I have been so busy I havent had the opportunity to try it out yet. So here we are. I am sat in a lovely sunny garden miles from an internet connection. Now normally if I wanted to send a post to the blog via mobile . . . Well it would be quite a challenge. The Nokia Lifeblog service, for example, does not appear to let me send up free text easily. It seems to be made only for posting stuff you already have captured, such as a text message someone has sent you. Whereas this Typepad Mobile system lets you blog as normal. I have decided against sending a picture to begin with – although I will give this a go shortly.

You can create a text note first on the timeline and enter lots of text in that. You can then blog this text note.

You can also put text in a caption below each item (e.g. image, video, SMS, note), or also in some body text below the whole thing.

If you want to send text but no images, then either send just a text note, or select any other item like an image and pretend to blog that; then, at the post editor screen you can remove the image and then you just have a title and body text to send.
