Mobile Interactive Group updates VoteWinner

X-Factor is a-coming.  Well actually it’s arrived.  Did you watch it over the weekend?   I recorded it on Sky+ and had a look.  I can’t watch too much of it in one sitting as it’s so very well (over?) produced .  It’s excruciating watching some people who think they can sing totally screw up.   But that’s what the fast forward button is for.

Simon, Sharon and Louis are joined by a special guest judge in London: Paula Adbul.

X-Factor is one of those shows that gets a shocking amount of text traffic.  The chaps who handle this are, of course, Mobile Interactive Group.  Had a bit of news from them today about their Votewinner upgrade:

Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) today announced that it has completed an upgrade to the network connections and capacity of its award winning high speed SMS voting platform Votewinnerâ„¢ in preparation for the new series of The X Factor, which began on Saturday.

The enhancements to Votewinnerâ„¢ will enable MIG to deliver votes at speeds of 2000 messages per second when voting commences in October, making it the fastest and most reliable SMS voting product available.

The enhancements to Votewinnerâ„¢ will also enable MIG to set new standards in the Irish market by delivering throughput speeds of over 500 messages per second from the Irish operators Vodafone IE, O2 IE, 3 IE and Meteor during voting for The X Factor.
