Three finally opening up internet access

I was checking one of my hotmail accounts to see if there was any mail when I saw this ad:

‘Free internet surfing?’ I thought.

I clicked through.  Only the click didn’t work, for some reason.  Arse.
So I flew over to the Three website and found the page with the special offer.

Have a look at this…

30MB of open internet access so you can surf where you want and when you want. Every month. For life.

Gosh!  Finally.

Well, I’m still a little suspect.  I wonder if you can actually use your allowance for applications as well as browsing?

You see a while ago, I phoned up and asked for the £5 add-on to let me use data… only to find out that I’d actually bought access to the range of shitty Three approved ‘mobile sites’.

30MB per month internet offer allows you to surf the internet and selected mobile web sites from your handset.

That quote from the terms and conditions appears to indicate that you can get to any web page from your handset.  Could be good.  Can I finally rejoice at Three’s decision to throw open the internet access gates on some price plans?

  • The 30mb is for web browsing, you get an addition £5 to buy software and tunes and such from three.
