Tracking Stuff in Mobile

Daily news and opinion for 250,000 industry executives and mobile fanatics.

[Insert critical piece here]

You have to laugh, you really do. Otherwise you’d resolve to sell your company and exit the mobile industry immediately.

I was sat connected on the laptop here in Starbucks knocking out a despairing piece on how ridiculous our wifi/wireless industry is. On how absolutely pathetic it is at addressing and meeting user requirements.

I wrote about this guy struggling to get his Ipad connected to the T-Mobile hotspot here. It’s just…. How do you expect normal users - the great unwashed - to use wifi and other related wireless services when its so difficult and so expensive?

Venting forth with my observations I finally hit ‘publish’ on the blog.

Only for the T-Mobile page to immediately pop up. My time had expired. I had lost my text of course.

There was no message, no prompt, no warning. Why? Well, I used the T-Mobile page to access my blog. I’m apparently meant to keep this page open on its own. So that when the time counts down, I can get a sodding javascript notification.

I totally despair. What a pathetic user experience.
