Strling Council has introduced a new way for customers to contact it. In addition to the telephone, email and face to face mediums, customers can now text the Council on 07717990001.
Texts are routed through the Contact Centre and routed to the appropriate team to respond to. Customers will receive an automated acknowledgement that their text has been received by the Council and then a full response from the relevant team. Texts to the Council are charged at the customer’s normal text rate. In addition to handling incoming texts, the Council hopes to use the new service in a variety of ways to send alerts, updates and reminders e.g. to let someone know the library book they ordered has arrived.
Good work Stirling Council.
Now let’s get more councils doing this!
