Getting a PROPER real time mobile messaging service

I have had quite a few emails this week regarding my use of the Nokia E61 and Good Mobile Messaging.

Here’s a note I had from colleague Ed:

I’d be interested to know on which network and which tariff you bought the e61. Have been looking around (again) at the options out there and t-mobile still wins hands down! None of the other operators can match its prices, international roaming charge for receiving email (free) and cost per minute. But I was wondering if you bought (whichever networks) lowest plan and then added Good tech separately at an additional cost of … what?

Perhaps others would like to know too?

Absolutely Ed! Standby! I shall be posting a ton on this shortly.

Suffice to say, Blackberry is a dead man walking. Incidentally, check out Carlo’s The Blackberry As an Anti Status Symbol. Carlo = hitting nail on head. Every time I see a poor sod glued to a 7,000 series Blackberry, I think ‘lower-middle-management’. Not good. 8000 series Blackberry, not as bad…

It has taken me a long time to figure out the optimal mobile messaging solution. Years. In fact, I’ve been hunting for the solution for at least 5 years — ever since I connected by T68i to my Compaq iPaq and saw my email trickle in as if by magic! So, I think I’m there with a solution. I’m letting the concepts and the perspectives gestate a bit more before going hell-for-leather with it here on the blog.

Suffice to say: Whatever way you look at it, it’s Good. ;-)
