This month, the SMS Text News Award is titled:

STUPID mobile operator ringtune policy

I am delighted to announce that Three UK is the winner of the SMS Text News STUPID Mobile Operator Realtune Policy Award, October 2006.

Three UK rose head and shoulders above the tough competition by pricing their dual-download music tracks at £0.99 each, whilst cunningly retailing realtunes for the exact same track at a whopping £3.49 each.

In selecting Three UK, the luminary SMS Text News Award Panel wanted to draw special attention to the operator for having balls of steel — sufficient to confidently fleece its customers in such a direct and innovative manner.
