Nokia 8850
A few readers were correct in assessing that I’d just recently purchased a Nokia 8850 from eBay.
I posted note soliciting guesses here and said I’d send a handset to anyone who correctly guessed what one I’d bought.
Now, there’s a bit of a difficult position here because there is — clearly — no way in hell anyone would have guessed I’d have blown some cash on the 8850………… unless of course you had a hunt on eBay and that is cheating!
I think I’ll need to do a better more accurate competition in future.
So why did I buy the 8850? Impulse. I dunno. I wanted a smaller phone. People used to rave about this one. I’m going to give it a go.
oesn’t have Bluetooth on it and it stores about 10 contacts. Heh.

Bah, what a cop-out, I want my money back!

Posted by ewan on October 10th, 2006 at 2:29 pm.No, I can’t say I guessed, in fact, the thought of guessing never even crossed my mind… I went straight to EBay and looked.
That either makes me a bad person, or very resourceful (a very resourceful, bad person?)
Anyway, I’m not entirely sure I see the appeal of the 8850, I’d have probably chosen the 6310i myself.

Posted by Fuad on December 8th, 2006 at 3:45 am.I was wondering where on Ebay did you buy the 8850? I’m looking to get one right now, but have trouble with finding a reliable seller. I purchased one couple of months ago, but had to return, because of fading screen problem. The phone would keep functioning, but nothing on the screen. I’ve heard, it’s a common problem with 8850.
I’d appreciate any link or seller’s nick info.
Thanks in advance!
