Recover deleted text messages with Pipistrel’s PhoneFile Pro

UK company Pipistrel Software has developed software that can retrieve deleted text messages from mobile phones.

An edition of PhoneFile Pro which can manage the contacts database stored in any GSM mobile phone, recovers data stored on the phone’s SIM card.

Using PhoneFile Pro, people can edit names and numbers, add new contacts, reorganise data by drag-and-drop, automatically convert numbers to an international format and save, print and exchange this data with other popular software packages.

The £82 forensic version is the one that lets you recover text messages from the sim. Useful if you’ve deleted a really important message.

    I have a Samsung D600 and have “lost” around 200 ish text messages from my sim and phone! Is there anyway I can retrieve them? Any help would be appreciated – im gutted :-(

    I used this on a standar pay as you go mobile phone with a sim card and it didnt show me anything, it must only work on certain types of phone/sim, alot of money to pay on the gamble it will work.

    I know that on Ebay if you type in deleted text messages a couple of people are selling some sort of forensic device which recovers deleted text messages.

    If the SMS messeges are stored on the sim card itself it is possibe to retreve them with a card reader ( i use a USB one ) and some software .But in most cases the messeges are stored in te memory of te phone itself so for that you wil need a tool to connect to the phone itself . Anyway i think it is possible to recover those files too but i don’t have the software for that ( yet ) . You can get a tool for the cardreader that works wel for my device from the net here —-( http://users.net.yu/~dejan/download/sim_scan.zip )
    Note that with software like that you can damage the simcard so be carefull !!!!
