STEP AWAY FROM THE AUCTION FACILITY, HANDS IN THE AIR
I don’t know WHAT I was thinking.
I was sat on ebay hunting for a copy of Windows XP when, for some reason, there was a T-Mobile MDA Compact shown in the list for £90 quid.
I don’t know WHAT happened. There were 6 minutes remaining and it was edging toward £110 pounds.
I took leave of my senses and whacked in a bid 30 seconds before the end for £119.
Don’t ask why.
Fate was shaking me by the shoulders, slapping me around the face yelling, “WAKE UP, WAKE UP, this isn’t in the SCRIPT!”
Ebay user ‘bugstudoc’ got in with about 4 seconds to spare on £120 and brought me to my senses. For a moment there I almost owned an MDA Compact.
I still can’t explain the behaviour.

Ah, you’re a sucker for the gambling like qualities of ebay… There is something about it that makes you want to beat the system and join in to get a bargain. It’s *very* addictive.
