TynTec takes over o2 inbound long number text services

Carrier-grade messaging operator TynTec (www.tyntec.com) today announces a deal with O2 UK to provide a managed SMS reception service.  Under the deal, TynTec will provide O2 UK with a managed long number (e.g. 7 digits) SMS reception service which O2 UK can sell on to corporate customers.

  • 7 digits? Long number is 11 digits/crossnetwork. 7 is still a shortcode

  • And UK/Eire shortcodes are 5 digits and not 4 as it says in the PR, but hey ho..
