Sony Ericsson opens shop on Kensington High Street, London

That’s the Sony Ericsson shop open now, apparently — somewhere on Kensington High Street. That’s not somewhere I generally hang around (I’m usually in the ‘square mile’) but I shall try and get over and take a look. If you’re passing, send me a few photos?

I couldn’t find any details on the Sony Ericsson store so now more information. Helpfully the Sony Ericsson UK press release archive appears to have been last updated in February 2006. Give it a few months and it’ll have gone a year without an update! 😉

  1. Being a former PR Manager at a big company, and now on the other side where I need to get information to write stuff, I have to say that the lack of response and general interest from a lot of the PR people at large companies and their agencies is a problem. Its a liitlel betetr with smaller companies and agencies though.

Also news releases not being available on web sites, which is where Ewans note ended – well it’s hard to understand why.

There are some good PR folks and agencies out there who are responsive and at least return your calls or emails, but on the whole it’s not a great picture.

I did used to think it was just me, but speaking to real journalists, they have the same issues.

So come on good PR people of the mobile industry, when we call or email you that means we have read your press release that you spent hours crafting then days getting approved, it usually means that we want to know more and might even write something.
