ZapTXT update with yet more features; publisher programme

Have you noticed the little ZapTXT button on the right hand menu there? Click it and have a play. It’ll give you mobile/email or (really funky) IM updates whenever there’s a blog post published here.

Got a note from Sameer at ZapTXT with the gossip:

We just made the announcement for ZapTXT on the wire as well as released new features:

- sharing ZapTasks with friends and colleagues
- a search ecosystem of feeds, by keywords to help users find trusted sources for topics
- a ZapTXT publisher program (here) to drive traffic back to your site, to inform editorial strategy and ad intelligence

- RSS as a delivery mechanism for your Zaptasks so you can receive alerts on Start Pages as well as in a Reader (something you had asked for in your original review)

They’re continuing to innovate quickly. I remember when ZapTXT was a raw platform not so long ago! Phenomenal stuff. Congratulations to Sameer and the team. Surely it won’t be long before someone comes a-calling to snap up ZapTXT?

If you’d like to get mobile updates from any RSSable resource, or if you’d like to be updated on specific keywords (e.g. I get ‘mobile’ keyword updates by IM), fly over to www.zaptxt.com and set it up. Takes a few seconds.

  • Very cool! Thanks for the tip. I also really like http://www.movamail.com for all my email needs. I have my Yahoo, Gmail and POP all integrated into Movamail. Easy to setup, use, and really fast. Enjoy!
