As i had envisaged this uses the-some-might-say dodgy personal number range 070. What is not detailed anywhere as far as i can tell is that calls to the number you’re given are probably billed at between 30 and 50 pence per minute. An outbound call connect to a mobile will cost between 8-15p per minute depending on network/time of day/supplier etc, so at the very least that figure would need to be covered.
It’s admirable to some extent that there is money going to charity, and yes the service is cute, but the likely 50ppm is the unfortunate necessary evil..
