Is no one doing a Text Santa service?

Link: Free business idea, Text Santa at Roam4free

Haven’t done one of these for a while and cant seem to find a service like this

I read this a few days ago on Pat’s blog — has anyone seen any Text Santa services being offered? It’s a wonder the Daily Mail hasn’t knocked up a promotion of sorts.

You could do some really neat things, you know, as long as you’ve got the parent/child’s permission, you could send frequent Elf updates from the North Pole. Suppose it’s a bit fraught with concerns. First, you do need a heck of a lot of permissions from the parent — but it’d be rather good if Granny could buy you a ‘Santa text pack’ at Tesco or somewhere similar, that you, as the curious, 7 year old Santa Fan, could then activate on your mobile in the lead up to Christmas.

In fact, forget the kids, someone, somewhere, must have knocked up an adult’s version of Text Santa — every day in December, someone win’s £1,000 or the like? Who knows. If you’ve seen any examples of Christmas mobile marketing, I’d be interested to read about them.

  • http://www.santa.co.uk - three personalised text messages to your kids, telling them that Santa has left the North Pole, for example, or whether or not he’s been held up in traffic etc…..

  • Yea Pat, where do I send it!

I have a designer doing a web page and plan to launch tomorrow. U.S only though. (and not T-Mobile because I am still dealing with their certification requirements)

Text SANTA to 95495 if you are in the US.
