Only 10% of 11,000 sign-up for Malaysian flood text alerts
Link: Few register for flood warning service via SMS
ONLY about 10% of the 11,000 people who were affected by floods that hit Shah Alam in February this year have registered for the early warning service called SMSBanjir.ÂÂ
The service, offered by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), provides an early warning system in the event of flood. ÂÂ
It is available for those living in flood-prone areas in Shah Alam, especially those who bore the brunt of a major flood that hit parts of Shah Alam on Feb 26. ÂÂ
“So far, only 200 of the 11,000 flood victims have registered for the SMSBanjir service.ÂÂ

is it %10 (11000 x %10 = 1100) or 200?
