More than 36 million SMSs were sent through transmitters owned by SFR and France Telecom subsidiary Orange between midnight and 1:00 am (2300 GMT and 0000 GMT), the two companies said. That was 25 percent more than for the same time the previous year, and a significant load of traffic for a country that counts 62 million inhabitants.
