myiphone.com is reporting that Amazon.de has got the iPhone prices up and, one imagines, ready to pre-order.

Amazon UK mentions the devices and offers to update you by email when they’ve more news.

I think this answer’s Steve’s earlier question — if he went to America, bought a device, and put a UK sim in it, would it work? Yes. Looks like the ones on Amazon are ‘sim free’. But at 800 smackers… that’s, what, at least 500 quid? Gosh. Quite expensive.

    I’ve got pre-orders from a dozen people I know in the non-mobile world who would definitely pay £500 smackers for a SIM-free one in June rather than wait til a UK network launches them in what could be Q4. So as soon as I can get my hands on a few dozen I’m buying…and selling! I feel a trip to New York with an empty suitcase coming on…
