Evening Standard giving away free mobile chargers
Walked past this stand today in Liverpool Street Station. They were selling copies of the newspaper - and if you bought one, you would get a free mobile charger. A popular come-on. I didnt avail myself of the special offer though. Was heading to a meeting. The Evening Standard is under heavy assault here in London from freesheet alternatives. I wonder if this sort of special offer will have been really popular during this morning’s peak rush? Most office workers would, I am sure, appreciate a spare charger at work.

From the pic, that device appears to be one of those chargers you carry around filled with AA cells, to give your phone a bit of juice in emergency situations. Not a proper charger, which would be cool.

*cough*

As for the Ashes; you won them with a capable team. The England team was, to say the least, DIRE! So, a fair and square win, I reckon.
