The HELLOOOOS from Jaxtr

Thank to everyone who’s given the Jaxtr widget a try out! (To the right on any page of the blog!)

Here are some of the messages that were sent in over the weekend…

just a hi! ypu know that can be really disturbing =)

Disturbing? ME? ;-)

i’d like to say a hi to phil and the crew

Right…

Ewan, Text means sending a text message instead of voice. We don’t yet give you the the option to receive those as SMS, but that is planned. -Konstantin

Ahh a message from Konstantin of Jaxtr! Top man! Thank you — I reckon email is perfectly fine Konstantin, although SMS, maybe through a premium upgrade, could be cool!

Hello, just seen your article on smstextnews.com. Does this jaxtr thing really works? Wow… cool.

It’s excellent isn’t it?

it doesn’t mean that I forget u, I?m just giving u time to miss me!

Vladimir Todorov — great blog!! lots of relevant (globally) and useful content. like it. is the widget working? :)

Thanks Vladimir! The widget is working really well!

Pat @ Roamfree — Hi Ewan. Pat here, waiting for a flight in Dublin airport, on my way to Etel

Multitasking as always, Pat?

CeeDee — I’ve been playing with but - if I understand correctly - jaxtr is a killer. How do they get a cut? Any chance of an invite? hehe!

On it’s way CeeDee. Well, at least, I’m going to give it a go and see if I can do an invite.

Craig @ Moblee — Hi - Just started reading your blog and finding it great. Got some things in the pipeline I hope you might even cover! Cheers..

is it true you were once a Knight and a member of the roundtable?

Yes and I wore a blue tunic.

So, Jaxtr rocks, officially. I’m really pleased with it. If you’d like to send me a message, you’re welcome to email, but really, Jaxtr’s just over to the right —-> so use that!

I’ve got quite a few voicemails from the system too and I am delighted to say, it’s really smart. I’m going to try using it some more directly. If you haven’t already got an invite, drop me a Jaxtr message (with your email) and I’ll send you one.

  • Oh I signed up for this and it looks really good.
One thing though, it will call me on my mobile phone when people call and there limited free minutes. Will this still be true when the beta ends? And does anyone have any idea how much the call to my mobile over the free minutes will end up costing me?

  • The free minutes are not a one-time thing, but you get free minutes every month. During the private beta, we don’t distinguish between mobile and landline phones. However, calls to mobile phones outside of the US are many times more expensive than to mobile phones in the US or to landline phones, so they will eat minutes faster. This will ensure we can continue to offer free minutes to everyone and users will have an incentive to route calls to their landline phone when they are near it. When you use up your TalkTime minutes in a given month, calls will route to voice mail–and there is no limit for that.
