Three UK’s £15/month 500 min price plan
Fifteen quid a month for 500 minutes. On going — it’s not a half-price for six months thing. Gosh.
And a free handset? OOoh.
That’s a market-grabbing strategy if ever I saw one. I like it.
Nice one, Three UK.

I like it - and do you know why I like it? Because it will make money for three AND it provides a compelling reason for users to churn.
Why will it make money? Becuse this tariff includes no text messages. Text messaging is extremely profitable for operators when its used out of bundle.
Why is it compelling? Because its simple - it does exactly what it says on the box and provides a fair amount of voice for a very reasonable rate. Lets put it this way - at this price (if I had a choice) I would cease paying the BT tax and a three phone would be my new landline.
Mind you, having said that, I don’t even hook up my landline anymore
