The Commission on Elections has approved a project that will use short messaging service (SMS) or text messaging to disseminate voter information, a resolution posted on its blog showed.
Very useful for querying voting areas, opening times and the like. Smart. This is wicked — a good example of where a fire-and-forget text service can be utilised. I don’t want to hang on the phone waiting for information when I’ve got a specific query. I just want to text it and get an answer back in 5 or 10 minutes. Let’s me get on with doing other stuff while I await the answer.
