Anyone seen a T-Mobile Ameo yet?

I know a few readers have got hold of the T-Mobile Ameo recently — but I wondered if anyone has actually seen one in the wild? You know, sat on the train next to some annoying arse with one?

I think it’s a fair definition, ‘annoying arse’ — as I don’t have one…

Every time I’ve been into a T-Mobile store, they’ve never had any out on show.

  • Is that a HTC Shift UMPC?

    It kinda looks like one.

  • I did see a friend’s Ameo - boy it’s big. Fabulous display though. I can see the point of using it as a wireless internet device at home, but out and about it is just too big and it would be essential to have a bluetooth headset.

Not sure I’m convinced that I need one - but then, I just bought a Virgin Lobster 700TV DAB/TV (another HTC phone) because at £53 delivered on Pay As You Go it was just too damn cheap. You can’t buy a portable DAB radio for that price, and it’s a phone and MP3 player too! I’m very curious about how the TV looks on the phone, but essentially it will become my backup phone for a Virgin SIM I have spare.
