Do you know anywhere that I can get a bluetooth transmitter?
I had the above enquiry in from an SMS Text News reader who’s on the hunt for one of those transmitters that can broadcast content - pictures, videos and so on, to phones in an area. I see them around all the time used with various marketing efforts. Any ideas where I can point the reader for a supplier in the UK?

If they are looking for expertise in this area, as opposed to just a box, then speak to Rachel or Jonathan at Hypertag.

I wouldn’t risk it until I knew for sure that the system could be opt-in and that the Information Commissioner had approved it.
Hypertag has a work around for opting in. Most of the others don’t bother

opt-in is a must, even leaving out information commissioner’s decision - just for your own sake don’t spam people.
