MYiOTA launch mobile tennis service

It’s that time of year again.. strawberries and cream, rain stops play, and Cliff Richard. Yup, Wimbledon is nearly here - and just in the nick of time MYiOTA have launched a new mobile information service aimed at tennis fans.

The service works via an application that you download to your handset. Once you’ve installed it, you’ll be kept up to date with all the latest Wimbledon tennis, London travel and weather info delivered straight to your mobile. There’s no subscription charges, and all you pay is your mobile operator data costs (according to MYiOTA it works out at between £0.002 and £0.02 per request for information).

Bruce Eley, CEO of MYiOTA, commented: “Our mission is to get consumers using their mobiles to get information. As it stands the whole process of requesting and receiving information on your mobile is costly and painfully slow. With MYiOTA we’re changing that and with the services we have planned we are confident we will change mobile consumer behaviour for good.”

You can grab the MYiOTA application by texting ‘iota sport’ to 60060 (UK only, cost 50p) or visit www.myiota.co.uk/sport from your mobile browser.
