Nokia 8600 is stopping people in the street

Stefan wrote that if you’re crazy enough to shell out 740 EURO on an Symbian Series 40 handset, you will definitely want to watch the following Youtube video. He’s not wrong. Phonehouse.fr have devoted a vodcast to the device and they show it off nicely.

I was watching people outside the Carphone Warehouse store on Oxford Street this afternoon — every third or fourth person’s attention was caught by the funky 8600 handset on display, pride of place, in the store’s window. Fascinating. There’s not many handsets that will stop normobs in the street like that.

  • Series 40 isn’t based on Symbian.
