Link: TheStar.com - living - A standing O for the cellphone snap
The author of this article just got back from a concert, and reckons mobiles are the new cigarette lighters..
From the balcony, the dance floor was like a sea of tiny TVs, each cellphone mirroring the real-life action not so many feet away. Chances are good that most of this footage will never find its way into the public or private archives. Most of it, I’m guessing, was either zapped directly to another cellphone or lost to indifference just days later. But no greater accolade currently exists than the cellphone snap. You know you’ve made it when they want to turn you into a media event.
Quite an amusing read, and an interesting viewpoint from Canada. Thanks to SMS Text News reader Krystal for the tip!
