Google completely unavailable to 3UK customers (now it’s fine)

I’ve been getting lots of comments and mails from readers who have been unable to access Google’s services via their 3UK mobile connections — some from yesterday afternoon.

I too can’t access any Google services *at all* via my 3UK sim — not even Google Maps.

It’s only when it’s switched off that you recognise that Google is hugely, hugely valuable. Should have an update soon.

Update at 12.30pm: All is perfect now.

  • I had the same problem this morning but restarting the handset seemed to clear it.

  • Not working at 13:12 via the “web” browser on my Nokia N80. However can be accessed via the Opera mini browser (ie via proxy) - see http://www.operamini.com/beta/

If you don’t already have opera mini give it a go. It is *very* good IMO.
