I haven’t yet heard back from the chaps at SpainSim.com so I had a look, with the aid of Google Translator, at Vodafone Spain.

Turns out they’ll sell you a pay-as-you-go USB data modem for 119 EURO which includes 25mb of data. Bargain! Here’s the translated page.

I should be able to walk into the Vodafone store in San Sebastian and pick one of these up.

In fact, the store I will buy it from is right here. Geez, Google is good, isn’t it?

I just plugged in the hotel details. I’m staying on the same street. So, that’ll be my first purchase upon arrival.

HAHAHAHA. Right on!

  2. That is BRILLIANT… alas I don’t actually have a USB Modem with which to use it though! :| And the Vodafone store won’t sell me one without a contract!

    Did you ever buy one of the USB modems in Spain for 119 Euros ?

    if so was it plug and play or did you need to activate the sim in any way that needed any spanish speaking/ spanish website use etc ? ( I dont speak much spanish :-) )

  4. hi all http://www.jockphones.com are doing the usb modems for 99gbp with 25mb free(20€) and they sell data sims ect. and topups. i use them for my topups its a lot better than spainsim as they dont try and rip u off.

    u can buy 1gb of data from vodafone for 60€ and it lasts for 3months
