Geek Squad launches MyGeek

geek squad
Geek Squad have launched a £7/month MyGeek subscription service. All the work is done remotely via your internet connection. Geek Squad is a brilliant service — before they came along, if you had computer trauma, you generally had to hunt around for a teenager who-knew-something and then hold your breath whilst they blew up your hard disk, then demanded cash for their time.

So it’s a relief that you have the option to hire a professional to sort it out. But if you’d like continual support on demand, the 7 quid a month MyGeek service sounds like a wicked deal to me. Here are the details: –

With MyGeekâ„¢ you get your technology fixed for a fixed price each month – to keep your PC running smoothly. All work is done ‘remotely’, where a Geek takes control of your mouse down your Internet connection, talking you through it all over the phone. The service includes:

• 24/7 no hassle phone support & advice
• Supported by the Geek Squad Club portal & online self-care
• Monthly subscription service (min 3 month contract)
• Discounted home visits (£90 instead of £120)
• Consumer service only (limited to 2 PCs per household)

What will we do?
• 24/7 access to a dedicated team of experts via a freephone number
• Support and advice on any computer software related problem or issue
• We’ll remote connect to your PC to help fix the problem if required

What won’t we do?
• Hardware maintenance and repair but we do offer Hardware Warranty Protection as an additional service.
