Palm’s still alive with the 500v Treo launch
I was forwarded the press release announcing Palm’s newest device — the 500v Treo. I wonder how it compares to the previous 650v — WindowsMobile didn’t do much for it last year (read about the complaints here).
Today Palm launched the new Palm Treo 500v smartphone at an event in central London. The Treo 500v smartphone is the latest Windows Mobile device to join the Treo family and comes with high speed 3G/UMTS mobile internet access, allowing users to make the most of their web 2.0 experience by giving them access to popular websites such as MySpace, YouTube and eBay whilst on the move.
It’s so new that it’s not yet on the Vodafone site. Only the 750v is listed at the moment.
It’s sporting Window Mobile 6.0. Any takers? I know there was a sizable fan base for the Palm 750v amongst the SMS Text News readership…
