Friday afternoon, 4:55pm and T-Mobile’s network is BUSY

I’ve been trying to use my T-Mobile handset (ostensibly to call SMS Text News blogger, Alex for a natter) but actually to call anyone. Alas, I’m getting network busy … and have been for a good few minutes.

Crazy.

  • As Tom Jones would say, it’s not unusual. Had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago after a club meet with , oddly enough, Alex (so let’s just blame him ;)) and Orange was down … I had to use (and it hurts to write this) A PHONE BOX! IN CENTRAL LONDON!

    And it smelled of wee.

  • Ahh, so it’s not just me - I was in the city this afternoon, and all my T-Mobile calls either failed, or connected but were silent for both parties. This was multiple locations along the Thames, with an allegedly full signal.

I also sent an SMS which went to the Sent box but never ended up at the destination!

Tried swapping the SIM in my iPhone over to the N95 with the same result, so it was definitely network related.

    Sick. Of. T-Mobile.

(It started working again at about 6pm.. anyone know when 3 will have the 8gig N95?)

Vodaphone’s site says that they have the 8Gb exclusive until Christmas 2007.

You could buy it unlocked. It is available from expansys.com, £700 earlier today.
