Is that a N95 8GB in your pocket?

I’ve seen the new Nokia N95 8GB and it’s a piece of genius. Think of the Nokia N95 — quicker, bigger screen and, of course, a lot lot lot more memory.
Mr S of Hutchison Whampoa was brandishing his handset in front of me a little while ago and I was very, very impressed with it.
Have you had a hands-on of the new 8GB N95 yet? Vodafone have the exclusive on it for the time being, here in the UK.

I played with one extensively while I was away last week. I must admit, very impressive.
But not worth the outlay it’d cost me to upgrade from my current N95.

I’m on my fourth (yes fourth) one and boy the GPS likes to take its 15 or more minutes to get going, not much use as a navigation device. 3UK have now told me they do not support the GPS part of the phone. Hmm, wish they would put that on the website and into the contract.
More storage great, bigger screen great, faster phone great, GPS not so great.
Three’s service has been bad, had it not been for Skype I would consider dumping the contract.
Thanks.

Not sure about the UK model, but the 8GB I saw was slightly fatter than the original too.

Expect great improvements - like 60 seconds time to first fix, then 5-10 seconds to reacquire once warm. This makes it a viable satnav/social networking/geotagging enabler. No word on if this will work on the standard N95 though, as there may be hardware differences.
…and 3UK have nothing at all to do with GPS functionality (the A-GPS server is independant), so Manjit’s comment makes no sense.
