Acer India has announced a new initiative for customers to help find the closest Acer authorized retailer in their location through an SMS dealer locator system.
Customers can now use the SMS locator to find the closest Acer malls and Acer points by just sending an SMS
to 53030. by typing on their mobile phones and sending it to 53030.
I love services like this. They fulfill a specific need and — provided they’re administered correctly — they do so very efficiently.
You’re out and about, you see an Acer advert featuring a product that you want to buy or take a look at… and you want naturally may want to know where the nearest dealer is. Get out your phone. Text away. You should have the answer in a few seconds.
Nice. Simple. Effective. Does what it says on the tin. I’d like to see more companies offering simple and quick fire solutions like this.
Its a very good thing to know that Acer India has implemented the system of text messaging system to locate the local dealer . India being a country where 12 regional languages exist it would have been great if the same messaging process can be done in the own languages of the Indians,Geneva Software Technologies based in Bangalore has come up with a software called E2C which can send SMS from desktop to the mobile phones in all the 11 regional languages in India and the speed of reaching the end users is quite high even .
