Fring is made Nokia’s Application of the Week

Good news for the chaps at Fring!
Link: Applications

Now you can take all of your fring, Skype, Google Talk, MSN Messenger, ICQ and Twitter buddies into the mobile world, and talk and chat with them for free! With the fring mobile voice over IP (mVoIP) application, you can simply login once to all your instant messaging services and from then on, all contacts will be integrated into one, searchable, buddy list. From this main screen, you can initiate an internet call or live chat session, and view each contact’s network connection indicators.

These indicators show you the expected call quality as well as the contact’s online status. fring also supports multiple, simultaneous chat sessions and conversation history, and facilitates cheap calls to landlines and regular cellular contacts. It does so with the support of SkypeOut/SkypeIn and hundreds of SIP-based services such as SIPNET, GizmoProject, VoipCheap, VoipStunt and Free World. It even supports interactions with mobile devices that are not SIP-enabled.

I’m off to meet the chaps there this afternoon here in Tel Aviv. More to report soon!
