Starship Troopers Voted Best Mobile Action Game in Germany
The 2007 German Developer Awards is an event recognizing the leading German game developers (creative name, right?). This year, the winner of the Best Mobile Action Game in People’s Choice was Ojom GmbH’s ‘Starship Troopers - Roughnecks.’ I personally have yet to try this title out, but as you can imagine, it’s a shoot’em-up game set in an alien world inhabited by giant bugs.
Ojom also picked up Best Mobile Game and Best Casual Game for their ‘Cubes’ title, which has sets of 3D colored blocks dropping into the sea to form a set of colors. This one just sounds so interesting, I’ll certainly be trying to get a copy to try out.
The German Developer Awards sounds like a cool event, attended by journalists, game consultants, gaming websites, and apparently, even normal gamers. It’s really cool to see the German gaming industry setting up an event like this, with a voice from every aspect of the industry. Congrats to Ojom for their gaming wins.
