Coming iPhone update will include cut/paste

The reports we obtained claim that the software update will add copy-paste, which is one of the most requested features by iPhone users, and will provide a few other user interface improvements.
Cut and paste was a key function that never made it to the original list of iPhone functions. I am pleased to hear that this, along with a few other features are apparently due for release soon.
The one brilliant thing Apple can rely on is the ability to simply make OS updates as required. If Nokia release a handset with errors or omissions, it’s only the hardest-of-the-hardcore that can be arsed to actually update their devices… you generally need to wait to buy the next version of the handset to get access to more functions. I look forward to more and more updates from Apple.

It’s not so black and white. Nokia’s Software Update service, via PC Suite, is all pretty slick now and there’s a degree of auto-notification when new software is available. But yes, it could be easier and it should update without having to manually backup and restore all your data and apps.

That doesn’t happen with an iPhone update.
Furthermore, I actually had to modify my N95’s internal model number, so I could do the upgrade. The update wasn’t available for my standard UK unlocked N95 much to my annoyance.
However I’m quite content now…
But what a palava!
