US-based mobile game publisher Glu recently made a bid to purchase the UK-based Superscape, who specializes in 3D gaming. The deal was approved by Superscape’s board, but apparently must be presented in the UK as a tender offier. Glu currently produces awesome games such as Zuma, Call of Duty 4, and Super Breakout. Superscape is known for AMF Bowling Deluxe, HeliStrike: Advanced Air Combat, and Jaws 3D.

Together, there’s no doubt the two game developers would do well in the mobile gaming industry. Also of note, Glu is one of many developers who have signed on with Nokia for the upcoming Ngage gaming platform. I for one am pumped to know that they’re moving towards 3D gaming, and hope to see the fruits of this buyout sooner than later.
