Torch Mobile Brings Webkit To Windows Mobile

2008-02-12_1425
Torch Mobile has taken the blindfolds off the world to show us the Iris Browser, a webkit-based number available for Windows Mobile-based handsets. Interested users should expect a customisable UI, support for touchscreen and rotating screens, as well as multiple windows and tabbed browsing.

You can snag a free preview of the browser here, and if you’re rocking a Windows Mobile unit, I would suggest it. Anything’s better than Pocket IE. Heck, most of us don’t even use Internet Explorer on our PCs, much less the handheld.

If you have a Windows Mobile device and give it a go, please send us an email at ewan@smstextnews.com with your thoughts/reactions.
