Rapid Mobile, the Edinburgh based mobile development, provisioning and advertising experts, have received a £2m investment from New Enterprise Associates and Alliance Trust Equity Partners, along with existing investors, Pentech Ventures and the Scottish Venture Fund.

If you haven’t come across Rapid, do take a look. They’ve got some particularly smart technology and processes to enable automatic optimisation, delivery and installation of applications and content on a whopping array of handsets (3,000 at last count) — and without intervention or device-side agents. I’m going to see if I can find out some more about this!
