Emoze upgrades mobile email service to offer HTML email

Now, even a monkey can get access to proper, mobile email, on the go. No joke ;-)

I bumped into CEO Eitan Linker at ShowStoppers — he was with uber confident Director of Marketing, Caron Tal. They were really excited to tell me about their latest upgrade. It’s a serious one. They’ve gone HTML. Quite an achievement in the context of making mobile email compatible with almost every handset.

Eitan got out his sexy red-coloured Nokia E90 and showed me the standard email working within the Nokia messaging application. Then he showed me the ‘View HTML’ menu item available for each email. Click on that and the handset loads up a beautifully rendered HTML email, complete with images. Fantastic. There’s nothing worse than getting crappy html emails through as normal text. It still happens to me when I’m reading mail on my Blackberry. Really ruins the experience. So if you’re an Emoze user, you should already have this upgrade.

If you haven’t checked out Emoze recently, have a look at www.emoze.com. It should take about 60 seconds to setup.

wonder how much data this takes? i am on prepaid.

Fantastic news- really looking forward to checking this out… I’ve been using emoze for quite some time now- and can confirm what Stefan says- it’s wicked fast, I get my email pushed to my phone before my gmail notifier on the PC realizes I have mail… that’s impressive. There’s quite a low overhead as far as the amount of user memory being held hostage on my S60 device. I think one of the larger benefits is the fact that emoze strips pretty much all html data from the email and sends it along, saving a bit of data usage- obviously things are a bit different with this update.

So here’s my question- is this actually available now? I just downloaded the latest version of emoze, which seems to be just a later build of the same version I have been running for some time now- and I see no HTML view function. Is this an update coming soon, or am I missing something?

Neat; I use Emoze because M4rE doesn’t work like I need on my N75. This would be a worthwhile update for me. Next step, support multiple accounts so that I can use this ofr Google, MS Exchange, and a personal site or 3e at the same time and this really gets good.
