Nice one Trivon. They’ve partnered with Virgin to create ‘Virgin Connect’, a WiMax network initially scheduled to cover 20 Russian cities.
I do have a thing for WiMax, despite a lot of protestations of shock, horror and downright outrage from some members of the SMS Text News audience who aren’t at all impressed with the technology.
The apparent simplicity appeals to me.
Trivon are hoping that their Virgin Connect service will garner 10% market share within 5 years. We’ll see. Meantime I haven’t yet got hold of a WiMax capable laptop…
