Tonight I decided to take a bit of time out of the transport system. I got back into Fenchurch Street Station and walked along to Tower Hill when I came across the Tower of London. Built in 1068 by William the Conqueror, it’s still going strong.
There’s a little park opposite and there was a spare bench. So I took a seat, whipped out the Apple Air, stuck in the USB modem and did some work for an hour or so, posting up opinions about the iPhone.
Here’s a picture of me and the Tower:
I’ve been connected to a 3G USB modem for about 11 hours today. Sometimes I’ve used 3UK, other times I’ve used Vodafone. Both are excellent. Both are more or less desktop replacements. I sometimes forget that I’m on a ‘mobile’ connection. Genius.
