We have an immediate opening for an energetic and dedicated Head of Tech to join our flexible and fast-paced team located in downtown Palo Alto. There is a dynamic list of very cutting edge, interesting and challenging projects for someone who is excited to roll up their sleeves and build an infrastructure seen nowhere on the web today. The candidate will be responsible for the entire technical division of LiveHit, and will be skilled at quickly building a team. We have a great, friendly work environment.

The Head of Tech candidate must excel in the design and delivery of complex relational database schemas. Experience in the social media space is optimal. S/he must be familiar with the strategies, concepts, rationale, challenges, and otherwise best practices of data-intensive applications in a high volume, highly-available OLTP environment. Relevant experience must include high performance database applications development or complex data modeling, data analysis, SQL scripting, knowledge of Internet concepts, and familiarity with database applications and database engineering in general. At various times, s/he will also be tasked to write white papers or conduct in-depth data analysis. Excellent oral and written English skills are required. BS in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
