Having purchased the G1, I headed off to One Alfred Place to get a bit of piece and quiet to take some photos of the device, set it up and have a play.
And I’m very, very impressed.

25,000 people have registered their interest for the G1 on T-Mobile UK’s site.
I guess that means I won’t be in with much of a chance to win one. But this does point to a lot of interest from the UK mobile community.
It most certainly won’t get the iPhone-style fan-fare — and if T-Mobile’s chaps [...]
So the T-Mobile UK G1 Google Phone is going to be available from October 30th (just had official word from T-Mobile).
Good news.
