1-800-FREE-411 Tells You How To Get There
1-800-FREE-411, from Jingle Networks, has announced a new partnership with Dial Directions that will allow their users to simply call in, give their current address and the destination, and receive an SMS with directions to their destination. The service is, as you might have guessed, free of charge, and will launch on March 1st in San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles, with a more nationwide launch coming soon after.
The service is ad-supported, just like with 1-800-FREE-411’s current offer, with contextual ad placement within the call.

You can call it from any phone and get free directory assistance (Business, Government, or Residential). The best part………you actually get to speak with a real person immediatly, instead of some silly machine. The other great thing I like about the service is that they also connect the call for free so I don’t have to write the number down. I don’t think you can get directions but I usually just ask the place once my calls is connected anyway…….getting 50+ text messages for diections is CRAZY!!!! It is much easier to simply speak with a human……
